Used in automotive catalytic converters, chemical catalysts, jewelry, pacemaker components and laboratory equipment.

Isotopes and Safety

Stable isotopes include Pt 190 to Pt 198; platinum compounds are generally low toxicity though some complexes require handling precautions.
