They manage fixation, tissue processing, microtomy and staining protocols and ensure specimen orientation and labeling for diagnostic accuracy.
Quality and Compliance
Technologists perform QC on reagents and staining, participate in proficiency testing and maintain documentation to meet regulatory and accreditation standards.
Education and Credentialing
Histotechnologists complete specialized training programs and certification and work closely with pathologists and lab managers to support diagnostic services.
