Clinical Coordination
They schedule testing, ensure completion of psychosocial and infectious disease evaluations and communicate with transplant teams, patients and donor organizations.
Post Transplant Follow Up
Coordinators arrange outpatient follow up, monitor adherence to immunosuppression protocols and facilitate access to support services and rehabilitation.
Training and Certification
Coordinators often have nursing or allied health backgrounds with specialized transplant training and certification and play a central role in program quality and regulatory reporting.
