Ga 68 PSMA 11 is a PET agent that targets PSMA expressed on prostate cancer cells to detect recurrent or metastatic disease.
Properties
High target specificity yields excellent lesion contrast on PET and enables detection of small volume disease at low PSA levels.
Uses
Used for staging, restaging and localization of recurrent prostate cancer and for guiding targeted therapies.
Safety
Follow radiation safety and patient preparation guidelines; be aware of physiologic uptake in salivary glands, kidneys and bowel.
