College Description of Interventional Oncology Procedures
This course introduces interventional oncology with expanded emphasis on tumor ablation, chemoembolization, and targeted therapy. Students learn to evaluate oncologic pathology and assist with IR procedures. Additionally, the course strengthens analytical reasoning and prepares students for advanced oncologic imaging.
Course Objectives of Interventional Oncology Procedures
Students will learn to analyze oncologic pathology, interpret procedural requirements, evaluate IR oncology protocols, and apply interventional techniques to cancer treatment. They will also strengthen observational skills, analytical reasoning, and procedural interpretation.
