College Description of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound
This course introduces MSK ultrasound with expanded emphasis on tendon evaluation, joint imaging, and soft tissue pathology. Students learn to apply ultrasound protocols to musculoskeletal structures and interpret diagnostic findings. Additionally, the course strengthens analytical reasoning and prepares students for advanced MSK imaging.
Course Objectives of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound
Students will learn to analyze tendon anatomy, interpret soft tissue pathology, evaluate MSK protocols, and apply ultrasound techniques to musculoskeletal systems. They will also strengthen observational skills, analytical reasoning, and MSK imaging interpretation.
Key Topics Covered During Musculoskeletal Ultrasound
Tendon imaging, joint imaging, soft tissue pathology, MSK protocols, and specialized ultrasound techniques. These topics provide the foundation for understanding MSK ultrasound and support advanced diagnostic applications.
Student Assessment During Musculoskeletal Ultrasound
Assessment includes exams, case studies, scanning tasks, and MSK imaging interpretation assignments. Students will also complete activities that reinforce MSK ultrasound concepts and strengthen diagnostic reasoning.
