College Description of SPECT Imaging
This course introduces SPECT imaging with expanded emphasis on detector systems, collimation, and reconstruction. Students learn to evaluate SPECT images and interpret diagnostic findings. Additionally, the course strengthens analytical reasoning and prepares students for advanced nuclear medicine imaging.
Course Objectives of SPECT Imaging
Students will learn to analyze SPECT detector behavior, interpret reconstructed images, evaluate imaging protocols, and apply SPECT techniques to clinical systems. They will also strengthen observational skills, analytical reasoning, and nuclear imaging interpretation.
Key Topics Covered During SPECT Imaging
Collimation, detectors, reconstruction, SPECT protocols, and nuclear imaging techniques. These topics provide the foundation for understanding SPECT imaging and support advanced diagnostic applications.
Student Assessment During SPECT Imaging
Assessment includes exams, case studies, reconstruction tasks, and SPECT image interpretation assignments. Students will also complete activities that reinforce SPECT concepts and strengthen diagnostic reasoning.
